WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO COMPETE?

I got into competing about 2 years ago. All throughout high school, I was a multiple-sport athlete, I absolutely loved competing and pushing myself to my limits. After high school sports were over I kind of just let myself go, felt a little lost. One day I decided I wanted to make a change I was unhappy with the way I looked and felt. My friend was a competitor and she helped me get started on counting my macros and eventually led me to my coach and competing! I quickly fell in love with competing. It was right up my alley of pushing myself to the absolute limit.

WHAT WAS THE HARDEST THING ABOUT CONTEST PREP?

The hardest part of prep was not being able to be as social with friends and family as I would have liked, I tried my best to balance it.

WHAT WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT COMPETING?

I loved the challenge and set of goals. I lost 55+ pounds to compete and I was hooked!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO YOU TO BE AN IPE DRUG-FREE PRO?

Being an IPE drug-free pro means the world to me, it helps to show people they can do absolutely anything they set their mind to!

WHAT WAS THE BEST THING ABOUT COMPETING AND WHAT DO YOU HOPE OTHERS CAN TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR STORY?

My favorite part of competing was being up on stage all glammed up with all the of the ladies. You know and respect how hard everyone has worked, you put in the time and effort and now it’s time to just have fun and showcase your work! It’s so great meeting so many strong like-minded women! I love this sport and how it has changed my life for the better.
