Natural Iowa History: 2004

Time to take a look at the 2004 NANBF Natural Iowa!
Not only were some great champions crowned this year but we saw the introduction of the Figure category to the sport!
Speaking of, Siobhan Tewari had the honor of being the first Figure champion and natural pro winning out over a very tough class of competitors and was a great representation of the symmetry and poise that this category would become.
In Women’s Bodybuilding, there was quite a battle between the three classes, including the Iowa Champion Coreen Sweeney. Once the dust settled, Nancy Nicholson edged out the overall win with her sweeping size and muscularity.
Onto Men’s Bodybuilding where once again, the caliber of competition has always been high. With a stacked line up of four classes, there was some major muscle on the stage. The medium-tall class alone was stacked with future champions, including Iowa overall winner Quinton Burnett and the Karl Schneider award winner Jason Roberson. However, Robert Johnson made the trip from Kansas and took the win and the natural pro card. Johnson would go on to win multiple professional competitions as well.
