Today we are going to highlight the 2012 NANBF Natural Iowa! As has been the tradition, this year brought some amazing competitors!

 

Starting out in Bikini, the overall title and pro card went to Nichole Goergen, who edged out Lenore Theobald (who won the state title).

 

In Figure, the overall came down to Judith Glyn, Lisa Brattain, Amy Widmeyer and Lora Schmuecker. Once the dust settled, the overall and natural pro card went to a symmetrical Judith Glyn. The Masters winner and best poser went to the dynamic Mandy Embury.

 

In Bodybuilding, the women’s bodybuilding champion was shredded Angie Starmer, who edged out the state winner Lisa Takes. The men’s bodybuilding classes and overall were intense! Scott Michels, Tim Bird and Joe Myers went bicep to bicep. While the Mr. Iowa champion and shredded Scott Michels and big Tim Bird gave him a run for the money, the overall went to a symmetrical and massive Joe Myers for the natural pro card and overall.

 

The winner of the Karl Schneider Sportsmanship award was Matt Jackson, who is a huge advocate and champion for the sport of natural bodybuilding. IPE pro Ty Dinh was the guest poser with a shredded physique and dynamic routine. We were also able to support Childserve that year, a non-profit who helps children with special needs.
