In in the open Figure class, the overall came down between Natasha Murtha and Leanne VandeBerge. Note that VandeBerge was also the masters Figure champion that year! In the end, Murtha was the winner and got the pro card. Also making waves was pictured Danita Ward, who took home the novice Figure title.

 

In Bodybuilding, the women’s class was equally as impressive. The open title and pro card was between Michelle Soldo and Wendy Rees. The judges awarded the top spot to Rees, who also went on to win the submasters class and the state title as well that day.

 

For the Men’s Bodybuilding, there were three impressive class winners: Chidi Ekebere, Okechukwu Egungwu and Dennis Thielen. Want to note that over the years, all three of these guys went on to make waves in the pro ranks! At the end of the day, Ekebere was awarded the overall and the natural pro card.
